From the Director's Desk

“Rising for Resilience in WaSH”

AARUSHYA Foundation was born out of a shared vision and deep commitment to improve Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH) services in India, with an initial focus on West Bengal. Founded by two women professionals with over a decade of experience each in the social development sector, we have worked with renowned national and international organizations, as well as with government bodies. Despite fulfilling consultancies and decently paying roles, we often found ourselves constrained—lacking the time for personal growth, freedom to explore innovative ideas, or space to make independent decisions that align with our values.
